Swimmer Profile: Cullen Jones

The next post in a series of Swimmings most marketable athletes, this time we look at Cullen Jones.

Cullen Jones is an American olympic swimmer who is a "sprinter" specializing in racing shorter distance events. He is one of four legs in the world record holding American team in the 4x100 meter freestyle relay. He also won silver in the 50 meter freestyle in the 2012 olympics.

I met Cullen Jones once and he is an absolute BEAST. At 6'5 he is quite the figure, but could not have been a nicer guy, and you hear that all the time when people meet someone but it is very true with Cullen. That's one of the reasons Cullen is one of swimmings more marketable athletes however the main one is telling Cullen's story. Cullen only learned how to swim because at age five he almost died in a drowning accident in Pennsylvania. Going from that to an olympic gold medalist is an unbelievable story.
